"But in your hearts set apart
Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who
asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this
with gentleness and respect,"
--1 Peter 3:15
Crossroads Church of Denver is conservative in theology,
evangelical in outreach and committed to the preeminence of Jesus Christ.
Therefore, we give primary emphasis to preaching, teaching and studying
the counsel of God's Word and to exalting Jesus Christ through prayer,
proclamation and participation in worship and praise.
+ We believe there is one God, the uncreated Creator,
eternally existent in three persons--Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
+ We believe the Bible to be inspired, the only infallible, authoritative
Word of God and inerrant in the original writings.
+ We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth,
His vicarious, propitious and atoning death through His shed blood,
His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father,
and His future, imminent, personal return in power and great glory at
the end of the age.
+ We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the Godhead, Who
came forth to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment and
to regenerate, sanctify and empower all who believe in Christ for ministry,
service and witness. We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer
in Jesus Christ and that He is our abiding Helper, Teacher and Guide.
We believe in the present-day ministry of the Holy Spirit, as recorded
throughout the New Testament, which includes the exercise of all the
biblical gifts of the Holy Spirit in the Church.
+ We believe all people are sinners by nature and by choice and, therefore,
are under condemnation. We believe God, by the Holy Spirit, regenerates
and forgives those who repent of their sins and confess Jesus Christ
as Lord and Savior. We believe that through the indwelling of the Holy
Spirit God, enables said believers to live godly lives.
+ We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved—those
who are saved unto the resurrection of life and those who are unsaved
unto the resurrection of damnation.
+ We believe in the spiritual unity of all true believers in our Lord
Jesus Christ—called the Body of Christ.
