Crossroads Emergency Relief Teams (CERT)
"Go therefore and make disciples of
all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching
them to observe all things that I have commanded you;
and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the
age."
--Matthew 28:19-20
In response to the amount of personal property destroyed
by Hurricane Katrina, we organized, equipped, and sent teams to the area surrounding
Long Beach, Misissippi from October of 2005 through August 2007. We have
also sent teams to areas in Colorado that have been damaged by tornadoes and
other natural disasters.
These teams minister to local homeowners by clearing debris, removing damaged
materials, and reconstructing homes once they have been deemed structurally
sound.
Current CERT Efforts
In response to the recent tornado which stuck Windsor, Colorado, Crossroads
is organizing teams to send emergency relief and
assistance during the week of May 25 - June 1 and
beyond. If you are interested in volunteering,
please sign up at the Info Counter in the lobby or
contact Bill Morgan at 720-898-3204.
Please specify the dates and times you will be available
to help.
